<strong>Period of Effect:</strong> 08/02/2024 to <br/><strong>Reason:</strong> 30-20 Order[POPUP_FOR_DETAILS]<br/><strong>Code breach(es):</strong> <ul><li>30-10(1) - You must act honestly and with integrity</li><li>30-10(2) - You must comply with the taxation laws in the conduct of your personal affairs</li></ul><br/><strong>Explanation:</strong> On 31 January 2024, after completing an investigation into registered tax agent, CVM Australia Pty Ltd (the Company), the Tax Practitioners Board (the Board) decided the Company breached subsections 30-10(1) and 30-10(2) of the Code of Professional Conduct (the Code) in the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 (TASA).<br>The Board found the Company breached the Code by:<br>1. making false statements in its registration application, lodged with the Board; and<br>2. not complying with the taxation laws in the conduct of its affairs.<br>As a result of these breaches and taking into account mitigating circumstances, the Board decided to impose an order under section 30-20 of the TASA, requiring the Company’s director to nominate and complete a course of education in the TASA that is approved by the Respondent, and provide evidence of successful completion to the Respondent, within three (3) months of the date of the order.<br>
